Women 2 Piece Matching Lounge Sweater Sets

We knit this two piece set from matching yarn so the color and texture stay uniform across top and bottom. The sweater cut is roomy with dropped raglan sleeves that hang away from the body. Paired with wide knit trousers, it works as a quiet base layer or a standalone indoor outfit.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Ribbed knit texture. The fine ribbed stitch gives both pieces stretch and recovery across hours of sitting. Because we dye the yarn in a single lot, the top and trousers match precisely in shade and hand.
  • Dropped raglan sleeve. The sleeve seam runs diagonally from the collarbone rather than sitting stiff at the shoulder point. This allows the fabric to fall naturally down the arm to a neat ribbed cuff.
  • Drawstring knit waistband. The trousers feature an elasticated waistband with an integrated knit drawstring to secure the fit. The wide legs drop straight from the hip with an exposed outer seam detail.
  • Washing and flat drying. Hand wash in cool water or use a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Lay both garments flat on a clean towel to dry so the weight of wet yarn does not stretch the legs.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
