Women 2 Piece Matching Short Set Summer Outfit ArmyGreen

We knit this two-piece set from a cotton-rich yarn that stays cool against bare skin. The top sits loose with an adjustable buttoned V-neck, while the matching shorts pull on with a knit drawstring and side pockets. Both pieces are dyed together in deep army green so the tone matches throughout.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Buttoned V-neckline. Four functional front buttons let you change the depth of the V-neck. Fasten them all the way up for a higher line, or unfasten the top two to let the collar fall open across the collarbone.
  • Roomy top drape. The short-sleeved top is cut wide through the body and drops off the shoulder. It hangs free around the waist and sits loose enough to tuck into the waistband or leave hanging straight.
  • Drawstring short waistband. Knitted in the same army green yarn, the shorts secure with a soft drawstring waist. Two deep inset pockets sit flat at the sides to hold small items without pulling the knit out of shape.
  • Machine wash care. You can machine wash this set on a gentle cycle or take it to a dry cleaner. Reshape both pieces while damp and lay them flat on a drying rack so the knit keeps its shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
