What we would tell you in the studio

  • Brushed knit texture. The yarn has a lightly brushed finish that adds soft surface warmth without heavy bulk. It carries plenty of natural give, recovering its shape easily after long periods of sitting.
  • Buttoned crew neck. A classic round crew neckline opens into a neat front button placket. You can unfasten the top buttons to adjust airflow or keep it closed for a clean, flat band.
  • Pockets on both pieces. We added a flat patch pocket to the left chest of the top and inset deep pockets into the side seams of the trousers. Both sit flat against the knit when empty.
  • Laundering the set. Wash both pieces together in cold water on a gentle cycle to keep the dye lot consistent. Lay flat or tumble on low heat to protect the brushed fleece finish.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
