What we would tell you in the studio

  • Rayon blend yarn. We spin this rayon blend for a smooth, pliable hand against bare skin. The knit holds enough body to drape down the leg without clinging, while retaining horizontal give throughout the day.
  • Crewneck pullover. The top is knitted with a tidy round crewneck and straight long sleeves. Its hem falls around the hip line, creating a clean profile that layers over a base tee or beneath a heavier jacket.
  • Wide leg trouser. The pants are cut wide through the leg from a gathered elastic waist. An integrated drawstring cord lets you adjust the tension at the midsection, and the fabric falls straight to the hem.
  • Washing instructions. Place both pieces inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the knit surface during the cycle. Machine wash in cold water and tumble dry on a low heat setting to preserve the yarn shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
