What we would tell you in the studio

  • Ribbed knit texture. The fine vertical rib adds gentle crosswise stretch while keeping its shape. It sits soft against bare skin and feels light enough for warm weather, with enough substance to hold a clean drape.
  • Top construction. We cut the top wide through the body so it hangs away from the torso. The round crew neckline sits flat, and the long sleeves give full coverage to balance the shorter hem length.
  • Shorts with pockets. The matching shorts feature an elasticated waistband with a functional knitted drawstring for quick adjustment. We knit deep side pockets directly into the side seams to carry small essentials.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash the set on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar colours. Lay both pieces flat on a clean towel to dry so the ribbing retains its original length and waistband elasticity.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
