What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew neck and cut. The top is knitted with a simple round crewneck and a roomy body that hangs away from your torso. It sits loose without clinging.
  • Longer bottom hem. The bottoms are cut with extra length through the leg, dropping down toward the knee. Side pockets are knitted flat into the seams to keep the profile clean.
  • Matching knit yarn. We spin this yarn with enough give to hold its shape after hours on the sofa. The knit stays soft against bare skin without feeling heavy.
  • Care and washing. Wash both pieces together on a gentle cold cycle to keep the colour uniform. Lay them flat on a towel to dry so the knit retains its length.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
