What we would tell you in the studio
- Smocked back bodice. Fine elastic threads run through the back panel to hold the strapless top secure against the chest. The front remains flat, while the stretch gathers tension across the shoulder blades.
- Open strapless neckline. The neckline cuts straight across the chest and leaves the collarbones and shoulders uncovered. It pulls on over the head with no zipper hardware to catch.
- Roomy lower hem. The skirt volume gathers under the bodice and drops straight to the ankle. It hangs away from the hips and legs, moving freely when you walk.
- Side seam pockets. Two inset pockets are sewn directly into the side seams below the waist. They lie flat against the fabric when empty and keep small items close at hand.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
