Womens Sweater Sets Matching Lounge Set 2 Piece Fall Outfits

We knit this two-piece set in a fine, smooth-faced yarn with clean contrast tipping. The buttoned cardigan finishes short at the waist with a round crewneck, while the matching pants fall straight down the leg. Both pieces share the same dye lot and yarn weight so they sit together cleanly.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crewneck and front buttons. A close round crewneck frames the top, bound with contrasting dark trim. Metallic gold buttons run down the center placket, closing the cardigan securely from neck to waist.
  • Straight cut and cropped hem. The cardigan hem lands high on the hip to meet the waistband of the trousers. Both pieces are cut straight through the body, giving the knit room to hang naturally without clinging.
  • Contrast side striping. Dark knitted trim accents the sleeve cuffs, cardigan edges, and runs along the outer seams of the pants. We knit these bands directly into the edges so the lines stay flat after washing.
  • Care and shape recovery. Wash this set by hand in cool water with a mild detergent and dry it flat across a towel. The knit resists sagging through extended wear and holds its edge geometry once dry.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
