What we would tell you in the studio
- Wide straight leg. The legs drop straight from the hip with a generous opening at the hem. Air moves freely through the cut, and the fabric sways rather than clings when you walk.
- Elastic drawcord waist. A gathered elastic band sits comfortably at the natural waist without pinching. The woven drawcord lets you adjust the tension depending on how high you wear them.
- Functional side pockets. We set slash pockets into the side seams so you have a place for small items. They sit flat against the hip when empty and do not break the line of the leg.
- Cold wash and care. Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the stitching, then hang them to dry. A quick steam or light press removes the natural transit creasing.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
