What we would tell you in the studio

  • Wide neckline and sleeves. The neckline rests wide across the collarbone or shifts down over one shoulder. Long sleeves gather softly before settling into deep ribbing at each cuff, keeping volume controlled at the wrists.
  • Roomy blouson sweater. We cut the body with dropped shoulders and an easy, asymmetric line. The knit hangs away from the torso and gathers lightly near the hip rather than falling stiffly.
  • Matching wide knit trousers. The trousers pull on with a flat elastic waistband that stays in place without pinching. Fabric drops straight from the hip down through a wide, ungathered hem.
  • Yarn feel and washing. The yarn feels smooth against bare skin and holds its deep black tone across wears. Hand wash cold, reshape gently, and dry flat on a clean towel instead of hanging.

Living with this one

Do
