Women 2 Piece Sweater Matching Lounge Sets

A roomy two piece set worked in a soft, medium-gauge knit. The top features a stand mock neck and short sleeves, hanging clear of the body down to the hip. We knit both pieces together so the texture and deep nutmeg tone match across the full set.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • High neck and cut. The mock neck stands upright without squeezing the throat. We cut the top wide through the chest and body so it falls straight and hangs away from the waistline.
  • Short sleeve construction. The short sleeves are knitted with a generous drop shoulder. This leaves ample room under the arms, preventing fabric from bunching up when you layer a coat or wrap over the top.
  • Dye and yarn hand. Nutmeg is a warm, earthy brown with amber undertones. Because both pieces are spun and dyed in the same run, the colour and yarn weight remain consistent from top to hem.
  • Laundering and care. Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent or send to a dry cleaner. Reshape both pieces and lay them flat on a towel to dry, which keeps the knit from stretching.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
