What we would tell you in the studio

  • Cut and pleats. Front pleats give the fabric room to drape and move. The wide leg falls straight from the hip without clinging, creating a clean vertical line through the hem.
  • Waist and pockets. An elastic insert along the waistband accommodates daily movement, while the front zip closure keeps the waistline tidy. Deep side pockets sit flat along the seam.
  • Fabric hand. The suiting weave is light and soft, blended with stretch so it bends easily. It holds the pressed pleat throughout the day without heavy creasing or added bulk.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the waistband and zipper. Lay flat to dry or use a low tumble setting to keep the black dye rich.

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
