What we would tell you in the studio
- Quarter zip collar. The front zipper runs through the ribbed collar so you can wear it fully closed as a high neck or open as a wide collar. The teeth sit flat against the knit.
- Striped ribbed body. We knit alternating bands of apricot and black in a flexible rib. The knit has natural crosswise give and settles loosely over a base layer without pulling.
- Dropped long sleeves. Low armholes give the sleeves a relaxed hang from the shoulder down to the wrists. Ribbed cuffs gather the fabric slightly so the sleeves stay in place.
- Washing and care. Wash by hand in cool water or take it to a dry cleaner. Avoid bleach, press out excess water without twisting the yarn, and lay the sweater flat to dry.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
