What we would tell you in the studio

  • Waist and closure. The front waist sits flat with a standard zip fly and button closure. Along the back, an integrated elastic band provides ease through the waist without bunching at the hips.
  • Leg and silhouette. A high rise sets up a wide, straight leg that falls cleanly from the hip. The dense knit gives the cut enough weight to drop straight without clinging through the thighs.
  • Deep pocket design. We placed deep insert pockets into the side seams. They sit flat against the hip when empty and hold small items securely without pulling the front waistband down.
  • Wash and care. Wash cold in a mesh laundry bag on a gentle cycle to protect the knit finish. Tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry to keep the leg shape intact.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
