What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew neck and raglan seams. The round neckline sits flat against the collarbone with a narrow band of self trim. Raglan seams angle cleanly from the neck into the short sleeve, keeping the shoulder line soft and free of bulky top seams.
  • Roomy top and wide leg. The top hangs away from the torso down to hip level, leaving room to move. Below, the trousers drop straight from the waist band through a generous leg that rests over low shoes or sneakers.
  • Piped seam detailing. Contrast piping marks the side seams and hem borders on both the top and the bottom. It gives the soft knit a crisp edge and links the two pieces into a clear matching set.
  • Cold wash and flat dry. Wash on a gentle cycle using cold water and mild soap, or wash by hand. Squeeze out excess moisture without wringing the knit, then lay both pieces flat on a clean towel to dry.
