What we would tell you in the studio

  • Top cut and neckline. The top is knitted with a wide, boxy body that hangs away from the torso. A simple ribbed crew neck sits close to the collarbone without pulling, while side vents let the hip-length hem sit flat.
  • Fitted short structure. We knit the shorts with plenty of crosswise stretch so they stay close through the leg and finish around the knee. A high-rise waistband holds its position without rolling, and an exterior pocket sits flat against the outer thigh.
  • Yarn and drape. The fine-gauge knit uses a flexible yarn blend that yields a fluid drape on the loose top and steady recovery in the shorts. Both pieces are knitted from the same dye lot to ensure an exact colour match.
  • Wash and care. Wash both pieces together in cool water on a gentle cycle to preserve the shared shade. Lay the knit flat on a dry towel to dry, avoiding hangers that can pull the shoulders out of shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
