Womens Lounge Sets 2 Piece Matching Travel Outfits

We knit this two-piece set from a light, fine-gauge ribbed yarn with plenty of built-in stretch. The top is cut with a plain crew neckline and long sleeves, while the matching bottoms hang straight to the ankle. Both pieces drape away from the skin instead of clinging.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Ribbed knit texture. Vertical ribs run the length of both pieces, giving the lightweight fabric gentle horizontal give. The yarn feels smooth against bare skin and holds its shape after hours of seated travel.
  • Crewneck and long sleeves. The top features a simple round crew neckline that sits flat against the collarbone. Full-length sleeves finish with clean, ungathered cuffs that push up easily along the forearm when needed.
  • Straight ankle hem. The bottoms drop straight through the leg to land right around the ankle. Because the cut is generous, the fabric falls freely without catching around the calves or knees as you walk.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash both pieces together in cold water to keep the black dye consistent across the set. Tumble dry on a low heat setting, or lay the knit flat on a rack.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
