What we would tell you in the studio
- Mock neck construction. The ribbed collar stands upright without folding over, holding its shape around the throat while remaining flexible. It sits high enough to keep out cool air without binding.
- Batwing sleeve cut. The long sleeves start from a dropped, deep armhole and narrow down through the forearm. Tight ribbing at the wrist anchors the extra volume along the arm.
- Split tunic hem. The lower edge drops past the hip line with open side vents. These splits give the heavy knit room to move over knit trousers, denim, or skirts without bunching.
- Washing and shape. Wash by hand or on a gentle cycle in cold water without bleach. Lay the sweater flat on a clean towel to dry rather than hanging it, which protects the knit weight.
