What we would tell you in the studio
- Flannel texture and pattern. The fabric is woven with an apricot check and brushed lightly for a soft, flannel finish. It holds its shape well and provides substantial warmth against cool weather.
- High waist placement. The waistband sits high on the torso to anchor the piece. It creates a clean top line that works smoothly beneath thick knitwear or tucked-in tops.
- Straight short hem. We finished the lower edge with a straight hem that lands above the knee. The structured cut keeps the checkered grid aligned from waist to base.
- Washing and care. Machine wash on a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag using cold water. Lay the skirt flat on a clean towel to dry so the weave stays square.
