What we would tell you in the studio
- Ribbed body knit. The vertical rib structure gives the body steady horizontal stretch without adding heavy bulk. It hangs clean and recovers its line after hours of sitting.
- Deep v-neckline. We set the neckline low in a clean v that sits flat against the collarbone. The front button band runs straight down the center to close or leave open.
- Roomy open cut. The side seams fall straight down rather than tapering in at the waist. Deep side vents allow the split hem to clear trousers and skirts without bunching.
- Hand wash care. Wash this knit by hand in cold water or dry clean to protect the stitch definition. Lay it flat across a towel to dry so the ribbed rows stay square.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
