Womens V Neck Sleeveless Knitted Fall Sweater
We knit this sleeveless piece in a smooth, opaque yarn with enough body to hold a clean line. The cut sits straight down the body, neither pulling tight nor widening out. Tortoiseshell-tone buttons fasten the V-front, and wide ribbed borders anchor the armholes and lower edge.

What we would tell you in the studio
- V-neck and button front. The open V-neck leads into a clean front placket closed with faux tortoiseshell buttons. It rests flat against bare skin or leaves space for a collared shirt beneath.
- Armhole and straight body. We shaped the armholes to sit close without cutting in, keeping bra bands covered. Through the torso, the knit hangs straight down rather than tapering inward.
- Cropped ribbed hem. The lower ribbing ends short at the hipbone. It sits neatly over high-rise trousers, denim, or mid-length skirts without bunching or needing to be tucked.
- Washing and shape care. Wash in cold water by hand or inside a mesh bag on a gentle machine cycle. Reshape the damp vest and lay it flat to dry to avoid stretching the shoulders.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
