What we would tell you in the studio

  • Wide leg drape. The legs fall straight and roomy from the mid rise down, giving the cloth room to move as you walk. The fabric holds its press through seated wear.
  • Waist and closure. The waistband combines a flat front panel with a zip fly, finished with an elastic back section that moves with you across the day.
  • Side pocket construction. Two functional side pockets sit along the seam line. We set them deep enough for small essentials without breaking the side drape.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours. Tumble dry on low heat or hang on a clip hanger to dry. Touch up with a warm iron if needed.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
