What we would tell you in the studio
- Knitted waist tie. The self-fabric tie wraps around the midsection to adjust how snugly the front sits against your waist. It knots easily without adding heavy bulk to the lightweight knit.
- Crew neck and sleeveless cut. A bound crew neckline holds its circle shape along the collarbone. The clean armholes leave the shoulders bare for warm weather or easy layering under cardigans.
- Fine gauge bodycon fit. We use a dense, smooth knit with plenty of built-in stretch so the fabric follows the body without bagging out. The hem lands high on the thigh.
- Cold wash care. Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the waist ties from tangling. Tumble dry on a low heat setting or dry flat to preserve the recovery.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
