What we would tell you in the studio
- Brushed fine gauge. The yarn is knit into a fine gauge with a peached finish across the face. It gives the black knit a soft hand and a gentle mechanical stretch that recovers its shape across a full day.
- V-neck and button closure. An open V-neckline leads into a central placket secured by engraved gold buttons. You can fasten it completely or leave it undone over a woven slip dress or an open collar.
- Straight hip-length cut. The body is cut straight from the underarm to the hem, neither clinging to the waist nor billowing out. It rests right around the hip line, creating a clean profile over trousers and denim.
- Cold wash and flat dry. Wash this piece on a cold cycle or by hand to preserve the brushed texture of the yarn. Lay it flat away from direct heat to dry so the knit retains its original length and button alignment.
