Off The Shoulder Tops Oversized Short Sleeve Tshirts

We knit this top with a generous, loose body that falls away from the torso. The crew neckline sits flat against the collarbone, balanced by short sleeves and a hem that lands high. It pairs naturally with high-waisted knit skirts and wide-leg trousers.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Roomy boxy cut. The body is cut wide and hangs loose without clinging. It keeps air moving around the torso while holding a square, relaxed shape from shoulder to hem.
  • Crew neckline. We finished the neck with a simple, flat band that holds its shape. It rests gently at the base of the throat and layers cleanly under open knit cardigans.
  • Shorter hem length. The hem lands short near the waistband of your bottoms. This proportion works especially well over our wide-leg knit trousers and ribbed skirts.
  • Cold wash care. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water to protect the yarn. Reshape the top while damp and lay it flat to dry instead of hanging.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
