What we would tell you in the studio

  • V-neck and bodice. The open V-neckline sits flat against the collarbone without pulling. We shaped the bodice to sit close through the torso, secured by a matching waist tie that adjusts where you need tension.
  • Mesh and lining. Flocked floral print sits over a fine mesh shell, backed entirely by a smooth stretch lining. The double layer gives you full coverage while keeping the weight light and fluid through the skirt.
  • Pockets and hem. Deep pockets rest right in the side seams so the silhouette stays clean when they are empty. Below the knee, the hem cuts on an asymmetrical line that shifts as you walk.
  • Wash and care. Wash cold on a gentle cycle, using a mesh bag to protect the flocked outer layer from friction. Lay the dress flat to dry naturally. Do not iron, tumble dry, or dry clean.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
