Women Silk Satin Tank Top V Neck Summer Blouse Sleeveless Shirt

We cut this sleeveless top in a smooth, fluid satin that hangs clear of the torso. The V-neck sits open without gaping, and the long hem gives you plenty of fabric to tuck into trousers or leave loose over a skirt. Clean edges along the armholes keep the profile quiet.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • V-neckline and armholes. The front drops into a wide V with a flat turned finish that sits flush against the collarbone. Armholes are cut high enough to cover undergarments while leaving movement free through the shoulders.
  • Long vented hem. The lower edge falls well past the waistline and features small side vents. This extra length stays tucked into high-rise waistbands and hangs flat when left out over denim.
  • Smooth satin drape. The woven fabric has a subtle sheen and slides easily over bare skin. It layers flat beneath heavy knit cardigans and unlined summer jackets without bunching or catching on other textures.
  • Washing and care. Wash on a cold gentle cycle and hang it on a shaped hanger to dry, or tumble dry on low heat. A quick pass with a low-heat iron or hand steamer clears any packing folds.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Read the size chart on the partner page before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
