What we would tell you in the studio

  • High neck and straight body. The top sits straight through the torso without clinging tight or billowing out. A fold-over high collar sits close at the throat, keeping cold air out through late autumn and winter.
  • Knitted pleats. The mini skirt is formed with structured vertical ribbing that mimics a tennis pleat. It holds its fold as you walk, with enough elastane in the waistband to stay put.
  • Sleeve and cropped hem. Long straight sleeves run down to unribbed wrists, while the hem of the top finishes cropped at the natural waistline. This meets the waistband of the skirt with minimal overlap.
  • Washing and shape care. Wash both pieces inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle. Lay them flat to dry on a towel rather than hanging, which keeps the pleats crisp and stops the top from stretching out.

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
