What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crewneck and front tie. The top is built with a classic round crew collar that rests flat against the collarbone. At the hem, integrated knitted ties allow you to knot the front or leave it hanging loose.
  • Roomy knit proportions. Both the top and bottom are knitted with a generous width that stays away from the body. The dropped armholes give the sleeves extra ease through the shoulder and chest.
  • Solid black yarn. We dyed the yarn in deep black before knitting to keep the colour uniform across the matching top and bottoms. The smooth surface resists catching during travel or daily wear.
  • Laundering and care. Hand wash both pieces in cold water with a gentle knit detergent, or dry clean. Press out excess water between clean towels and dry the set flat to protect the shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
