What we would tell you in the studio
- Checkered flannel knit. The fabric is knitted with a brushed flannel finish that stays soft against bare skin or knit tights. It holds enough body to maintain the checkered grid without sagging.
- Waist and short hem. The waistband sits high and stays flat under tucked tops. Below the waist, the hem cuts short and straight, leaving your legs free.
- Black and apricot yarn. We alternate black and warm apricot yarns to build the grid. The pattern carries all the way around the piece without breaking at the side seams.
- Layering and care. This skirt pairs naturally with chunky pullovers or fine gauge mock necks. Wash it on a cold cycle and lay it flat to dry so the knit keeps its shape.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
