What we would tell you in the studio
- Henley crew neckline. The collar sits close as a crew neck and opens into a buttoned placket. You can fasten it all the way up for full coverage or leave a few buttons undone over bare skin.
- Straight ankle length hem. The skirt drops in a loose line away from the waist and finishes low around the ankles. It moves freely when you walk and gives the dress a steady, grounded drape.
- Side seam pockets. We built two pockets directly into the side seams so they stay flat when empty. They give you a place to rest your hands or carry light items without pulling at the knit.
- Cold wash and flat dry. Wash this piece on cold with similar colors inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the knit surface. Lay it flat across a drying rack so the weight of wet yarn does not stretch the length.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
