What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew neck and cropped top. The top is knitted with a simple round crew neckline that holds its shape. A cropped lower hem leaves room above the waistband, while the body hangs away from the torso without pulling.
  • Long sleeves and cuff rib. Long sleeves drop straight down from relaxed shoulder seams. Ribbing at each wrist keeps the sleeve in place when pushed up the forearm, preventing the cuff from sagging during wear.
  • Drawstring knit shorts. The shorts are worked in the exact same knit gauge as the pullover. An adjustable drawstring sits at the waist, and the leg openings cut wide to allow easy movement around the house.
  • Washing and shape care. Wash this set on a gentle cold cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Lay both the top and shorts flat on a towel to dry so the yarn retains its original shape.

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
