What we would tell you in the studio

  • Roomy cropped top. The pullover features a plain round crewneck and long sleeves that taper gently toward the wrist. We keep the body cut short and wide so it sits cleanly over the high trouser waist without bunching.
  • Wide-leg trousers. The trousers are knitted with a straight, wide leg that falls freely from the hips down. An adjustable drawstring at the waist lets you alter the tension across the middle as you move through your day.
  • Army green gauge. Knitted in a lightweight yarn, the fabric gives warmth without building up heat indoors. The muted olive tone comes through evenly across both pieces because the yarn is spun and dyed in a single run.
  • Laundering the pair. Wash both pieces together in cool water using a gentle cycle or by hand to preserve the matching tone. Lay them flat on a towel to dry so the weight of the damp yarn does not pull the shape.

Living with this one
