What we would tell you in the studio

  • Smocked bodice construction. The upper panel features tight elastic smocking across the back to hold the strapless top securely against the chest. It gives when you move and returns to shape without slipping down during wear.
  • Roomy skirt with pockets. Below the band, the lightweight fabric opens out into a loose, unlined skirt that falls straight to the ankle. We set practical slip pockets right into the side seams so they sit flat when empty.
  • Layering and styling options. Wear it on its own on warm days, or throw an open-front knit cardigan or light cropped pullover over the strapless neckline when the temperature drops in the evening.
  • Care and maintenance guide. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with like colours in cold water. We recommend hanging it to air dry or laying it flat to keep the smocking elastic tight and protect the hem from stretching.
