What we would tell you in the studio

  • Round neck and armholes. The crew neckline sits flat without binding, finished with a neat bound edge. We cut the armholes high enough to sit flush along the side of the body, so the sleeveless shape stays tidy through movement.
  • Pleated chest construction. Vertical pleats run down the chest panel to add structure before opening out into the lower tier. This gives the upper body a straight, clean drape that holds its line without clinging to the torso.
  • Flared lower tier. Below the high waist seam, the knit flares out into soft folds that land around the hip. The extra volume moves freely as you walk and pairs easily over denim trousers, cotton shorts, or slim skirts.
  • Linen blend yarn care. Hand wash in cold water or use a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the pleats. Reshape the hem while damp and lay it flat to dry out of direct sun.
