What we would tell you in the studio
- Striped knit construction. The lightweight gauge keeps the fabric flexible and easy to layer under coats. We knit the horizontal red bands directly into the navy base so the pattern runs cleanly across the seams, body, and matching chest pocket.
- Neckline and cuffs. A classic crewneck rib binds the collar to hold its circular shape across repeated wear. The long sleeves end in matching ribbed cuffs that grip the wrist lightly, allowing you to push them up the forearm when needed.
- Roomy straight cut. The body is cut wide and loose, dropping straight down from the shoulders to clear the hip. This extra ease lets the fine-gauge yarn drape in soft folds rather than clinging to layers underneath.
- Washing and care. Hand wash this knit in cool water or dry clean it to protect the depth of the red and navy dyes. Squeeze out excess moisture in a clean towel and lay the sweater flat to dry to avoid stretching the body.
