What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck cut. The neckline is finished as a flat crew band that sits close against the base of the collar. It holds its shape without stretching out over repeated wear.
- Roomy straight drape. The body is cut wide from the underarms down to the lower hem. The fabric falls away from the torso, giving you plenty of space through the middle.
- Sleeve and hem lines. Short sleeves end cleanly on the upper arm to keep layering under cardigans or jackets simple. The lower hem is stitched flat and falls near the knee.
- Washing and care. Machine wash cold with similar darks to keep the black yarn deep. Tumble dry on low heat or lay the piece flat on a towel to air dry.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
