What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crewneck and side slits. A plain round collar finishes the neckline of the long-sleeve pullover. Deep side slits at the hem allow the top to drape cleanly over the waistband without bunching as you sit or move.
  • Wide-leg trouser cut. The trousers are knit with a broad, straight leg that falls loosely toward the hem. We added in-seam pockets deep enough to rest your hands or carry small items without disrupting the line.
  • Matching grey knit. Both pieces are knitted from the same lightweight yarn to ensure an exact match in shade and texture. The fabric has a smooth, soft hand that rests lightly against bare skin.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with like colours or dry clean. Reshape the knit pieces while damp and dry them flat on a towel to preserve the stretch and stitch definition.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
