What we would tell you in the studio
- Wide folded neckline. The generous rib band folds over at the collar and stretches across the upper chest. You can pull it down over both shoulders or let one side slip lower than the other.
- Roomy straight body. The body is cut wide through the torso so the knit hangs clear of the waist. It pairs easily over narrow denim, knit skirts or straight trousers.
- Long ribbed sleeves. The sleeves are cut long with ribbed cuffs that stay put when pushed up the forearm. The dropped shoulder seam keeps the sleeve loose through the upper arm.
- Yarn hand and wash. The knit feels soft directly against the neck and bare shoulders. Hand wash in cold water or run on a gentle cycle, then lay flat to dry to keep the collar shape.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
