What we would tell you in the studio

  • Notched collar top. The shirt front buttons down from an open notched collar that forms a low neck. A single chest pocket sits flat against the satin, and short sleeves leave the forearms free.
  • Elastic waist shorts. We matched the shirt to shorts cut with a wide leg opening. The elasticated waistband stretches easily and holds the rise without drawing tightly at the waist.
  • Satin drape and tone. The lightweight burgundy satin has a soft sheen that shifts under room light. It falls away from the body rather than clinging, keeping the cut breezy indoors.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to keep the fabric smooth. Line dry or lay both pieces flat in the shade, and press on low heat with a cloth if needed.
