What we would tell you in the studio
- Tie front closure. Instead of buttons, we finished the open front with knit ties. You can knot them loosely or leave them undone, which changes how much the cardigan spreads across the chest.
- Textured chunky gauge. The yarn has a heavy, rounded hand that builds distinct stitch definition. It creates a warm layer without clinging, staying loose through the sides and waist down to the hip.
- Volume through the sleeve. The sleeves are cut wide through the arm to create volume. Dense ribbing at the wrist pulls that extra fabric in, keeping the cuffs from slipping over your hands.
- Care and washing. Hand wash this cardigan in cool water or have it dry cleaned. Press out the excess water in a clean towel and lay it flat to dry so the heavy stitches do not stretch.
