What we would tell you in the studio
- Knitted ties. Instead of hard buttons, knitted ties close the front panel. You can knot them loose to let the placket separate or tie them snug to keep out drafts.
- Textured chunky gauge. The heavy yarn gives the surface a tactile, ribbed definition. It creates substantial warmth without feeling stiff across the back or shoulders.
- Full sleeve shape. The sleeves carry extra volume down the arm before gathering at the wrist. This gives the knit room to layer over long-sleeve shirts without binding.
- Hand wash care. Soak in cool water with gentle detergent and press out excess moisture between towels. Lay the cardigan flat to dry so the heavy knit keeps its length.
