What we would tell you in the studio
- Roomy cropped cut. The body is cut wide and loose, dropping straight down to a cropped hem. It does not cling to the waist, which leaves space for layering over tees, shirts, and high-waisted bottoms.
- Crew neck and open front. A round crew neckline frames the collar cleanly without adding bulk. The open front design pulls on quickly and lets your base layer show through down the center.
- Short sleeve shape. Short sleeves keep the shoulders covered while leaving your lower arms completely free. Wide ribbing finishes the edges so the knit keeps its shape across hours of wear.
- Washing and care. Hand wash in cool water or use a gentle cycle with a knit-safe detergent. Press out excess moisture with a clean towel and dry flat on a rack so the cropped shape does not stretch out.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
