What we would tell you in the studio

  • V-neck and armholes. The front neckline drops into a clear V that stays in place throughout the day. We finished the armholes with narrow bands so they lay flat against the shoulders without gaping or pulling across the upper chest.
  • Body and side vents. The cut widens slightly through the torso and hangs away from the waist. Small vents set into each side seam keep the long hem from bunching over waistbands when you move or sit.
  • Layering weight. Because the fabric is light and smooth, it slides easily under knit cardigans, open jackets, or heavier pullovers without catching. It also works on its own over skirts, tailored trousers, or casual shorts.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to protect the woven surface. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat, then use a warm iron or quick steam to smooth out creases and bring back the original surface sheen.

Living with this one

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
