What we would tell you in the studio
- V-neck and button front. The open neckline angles down to a row of faux tortoiseshell buttons. Ribbing reinforces the placket edge so the front stays flat whether buttoned or unfastened.
- Cut and cropped hem. A straight body drops to the upper hip without hugging the waist. The trimmed lower hem rests cleanly over high-rise trousers, denim, or knit skirts.
- Armhole coverage. We shaped the sleeveless armholes to sit close without pulling. The ribbed opening stays flush against the side of the body when worn as a standalone top.
- Gentle knit care. Hand wash in cold water or run through a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Lay the knit flat on a dry towel to preserve the shape.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
