What we would tell you in the studio
- Tie front closure. Front ties replace standard buttons along the placket. You knot them into bows to hold the front together, which leaves gentle openings between each tie point while securing the deep V-neckline across the chest.
- Cropped boxy cut. The body is knitted wide and hangs straight down to a cropped hem. Because the cut sits loose, it clears high-waisted denim and slip skirts without gathering or bunching around the waistline.
- Short sleeve coverage. Short sleeves extend straight from the dropped shoulder seam. They leave the forearms free, making the layer easy to slip on over ribbed tank tops, fitted tees, or bare skin on milder days.
- Washing and shape. Hand wash in cold water using a mild wool detergent and press out the moisture in a clean towel. Lay the cardigan flat on a drying rack to keep the chunky knit from stretching out of square.
