What we would tell you in the studio
- Diagonal rib knit. The body features an angled ribbed stitch that gives the knit its weight and bias drape. It pulls smoothly across the torso without clinging, holding an open shape through the sides.
- Batwing sleeve construction. A low armhole tapers into closely knitted lower sleeves. The fabric gathers softly under the arm while the forearms stay fitted, keeping the cuffs in place over long base layers.
- Asymmetric lower hem. The bottom edge angles across the hips, dipping lower on one side to break the horizontal line. This open shape gives you room to move over jeans or narrow knit trousers.
- Cold wash and flat dry. Wash this piece by hand in cold water or dry clean it to protect the diagonal stitch tension. Squeeze out excess moisture in a towel and lay the sweater flat to dry.
