What we would tell you in the studio
- Polo collar neckline. The split polo collar lies flat across the collarbone and opens into a clean V-neck. It gives the lightweight knit a neat top edge without needing buttons or hardware.
- Straight cropped cut. The body is cut wide and hangs away from the waist down to a shortened hem. This cropped profile pairs naturally with high-rise trousers, knit skirts, or denim.
- Smooth fine gauge. We chose a blend that produces a silky, lightweight surface with no prickly bulk. It slides easily under tailored jackets and wool coats without bunching at the underarms.
- Care and shape. Hand wash the knit in cold water and press out extra moisture in a dry towel. Lay the sweater flat to dry to keep the collar flat and preserve the hemline.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
