What we would tell you in the studio
- Hood and neckline. The hood is constructed without drawstrings for a clean profile around the neck. It sits balanced over the shoulders without pulling the collar backward.
- Microfleece backing. Inside, a dense microfleece lining sits directly against the skin or a base layer. The outer surface stays flat and smooth through daily wear.
- Dropped long sleeve. The sleeves drop from low armholes to create a relaxed line down the arm. Ribbed cuffs gather the fabric at the wrist and hold their recovery.
- Care and wash. Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle before your first wear to settle the fleece. Lay it flat on a rack to dry to keep the cropped hem straight.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
