What we would tell you in the studio
- Dual-texture knit. The outer face is knit smooth and clean, while the reverse side is backed with a low-pile microfleece. It provides warmth without shedding excess fuzz onto base layers underneath.
- Hood and collar. A plain round crew neck anchors the front, set directly beneath a hood cut without cords or hardware. It frames the collarbone neatly and keeps the front lines uncluttered.
- Sleeve and cuffs. The long sleeves drop low off the shoulder to create extra room through the upper arm. Ribbed cuffs pull the fabric in around the wrist to hold the sleeve in place.
- Kangaroo pocket and hem. A single wide pocket sits across the front for warming hands or holding small items. Below it, the hem finishes short, sitting cleanly above standard trouser waistbands.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
